Jan 1 New Years Day. 4 below zero. We didn't go to church this morning. Last night Bess and I spent New Years Eve at Mrs. Denton's at a card game. Very cold day.

Jan 2     2 below zero this morning. Nothing done.

Jan 3     Nothing but chores done today. Fair very cold day.

Jan 4     Same as yesterday. Very cold day.

Jan 5     Fair very cold. Nothing done.

Jan 6     Nothing done. Fair warm day.

Jan 7     I attended a Shipping Association Meeting today. Warm cloudy with roads very bad because of thaw.

Jan 8     We went to church this morning. Home this evening. Warmer and some rain.

Jan 9     Nothing but chores done. Bess and I went to town this evening. Warm and cloudy.

Jan 10     Today I attended a Federal Land Director's Meeting at town. Pleasant day.

Jan 11     Bess and I went to Seymour today to see Paw & Maw. Pleasant day.

Jan 12     This morning I hired truck from garage and hauled home new battery for the light plant. Then went to Seymour after ton of feed for cows. Pleasant day.

Jan 13     Today I am hauling in flooded corn shocks for the hogs. Pleasant day.

Jan 14     This morning I hauled in corn shocks. This evening I attended a County Shipping Assoc. Meeting. Cloudy cool day.

Jan 15     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Cloudy cool day.

Jan 16     Today I hauled in corn shocks to hogs. Pleasant day.

Jan 17     Today I am shredding corn for Ed Murphy. Warm cloudy day.

Jan 18     This morning I hauled corn to hogs. Began to rain at noon.

Jan 19     Bad rainy day. Bess and I went to town for dinner.

Jan 20     I hauled corn to hogs today.

Jan 21     Hauling in corn this morning. Bess and I went to town this evening. Fair cold day.

Jan 22     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cold day.

Jan 23     This morning I got my shredder home from Ed Murphy. It has been there for several weeks. This evening Bess and I went to Seymour after Paw & Maw. Fair cold day.

Jan 24     Today we butchered 4 hogs. Tom Bowerly and Henry Burgmeyer helped. Bad rainy day.

Jan 25     Today we are cutting lard, rendering same. Made the sausage and so forth. Mrs. Denton helped. Cold cloudy day.

Jan 26     Today Tom and I are shredding corn shock corn. Cold cloudy day.

Jan 27     Tom and I are shredding corn this morning. Began to snow at noon so I took Paw & Maw home this evening.

Jan 28     Today I am attending Federation at town. Cold blustery day.

Jan 29     We went to church this morning. This evening Bess and I went to town to visit at Alice's. Cold cloudy.

Jan 30     I am hauling in damaged corn to hogs. Fair cold day.

Jan 31     This morning I hauled in corn. This evening Bess and I went to town. Fair cool day.

Feb 1     Today Joe Stewart is helping me shred corn. These shocks were in the water and is dried and frozen out fairly well. Fair cold day.

Feb 2     Same as yesterday. Fair cold day.

Feb 3     Same as Wed and Thur. Fair warmer.

Feb 4     Raining this morning and rained all day. Bess and I went to town this evening.

Feb 5     The boys went to church this morning. Alice & Herschel were here today. Cloudy colder. The creek is out today.

Feb 6     Nothing but chores done today. Cloudy cool day.

Feb 7     Rain last night and today. Put the creek out today. Bess and I went to town this evening.

Feb 8     Nothing done today. Cloudy warm day. The roads are very soft.

Feb 9     Nothing but chores done today. Cloudy colder day.

Feb 10     Today I attended a County Farm Bureau District Meeting at town. Cloudy cool day.

Feb 11     Charles and I hauled in few shocks of corn this morning. Bess and I went to town this evening. Fair cool day.

Feb 12     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cool day.

Feb 13     This morning I am hauling in corn shocks for hogs. Began to rain at noon. After dinner I went after Stewart, he was sent home sick.

Feb 14     Rainy cold day. Bess and I went to town this evening.

Feb 15     Today I finished hauling in the bad corn to the hogs. Last fall I had all my corn shocks damaged by water. It is all feed to the hogs now. Cloudy damp day.

Feb 16     Today Alvin Marsh went to Cincinnati to Attend the Producer's Commission Convention. I was sent as a delegate. Cloudy cool day.

Feb 17     Wet cold day. Nothing done.

Feb 18     This morning I went to town after load of coal. Hauled same home in truck. This evening I went to town with the cream and eggs. Bess had to stay home with Stewart. He has been sick several days. Cold blustery snowy day.

Feb 19     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cold day.

Feb 20     This morning Newmeister trucked 40 hogs to town. I shipped to Cincinnati. This evening I took can of cream to town. Cloudy cool day.

Feb 21     Nothing done today. Very beautiful day.

Feb 22     Rainy cold day. Kellermeyer and wife and Bertram were here for the day. They came through Seymour and brought Paw & Maw along. They returned to Indianapolis this evening.

Feb 23     Nothing done today. Snowy bad day.

Feb 24     Today I attended the Business Men's Club and a dinner at N. Vernon. Fair cold day.

Feb 25     Today I attended a Farmer's Warehouse and Feed Store Meeting. Fair cold.

Feb 26     This morning we went to church. All home this evening. Herschel and Alice are here for a few days. She is about sick.

Feb 27     Nothing done today. Fair cool day.

Feb 28     Today I helped at a wood chopping at Alvin Marsh's. Very pleasant day.

Feb 29     Today I helped chop at J. G. Marsh's. Cloudy cold, began to snow at noon. We sawed awhile after dinner, then quit.

Mar 1     Nothing done today. Very bad day. Snow is wet and sloppy.

Mar 2     Same as yesterday. Bad sloppy day.

Mar 3     This morning Charles and I cleaned the sow farrowing houses and put in fresh straw. Will need them in a few days. This evening Bess and I went to town. Fair cold day.

Mar 4     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cold day.

Mar 5     This morning I sawed some wood. This evening Bess and I went to town. Fair cool day.

Mar 6     Today the County Agent and I went to Indianapolis to attend a Farm Marketing Meeting. Fair cool day.

Mar 7     Today I am repairing the chicken park, put up new gate and so forth. Very pleasant day.

Mar 8     Today I am building a new sow farrowing house. Cloudy cool day.

Mar 9     This morning I am still working on the above named house. This evening Bess and I went to town. Cool cloudy.

Mar 10     Today the boys are cutting down poles on Ralph Hess's. Bess and I went to town this evening. Cloudy forenoon. Fair cool this evening.

Mar 11     We went to church this morning. This evening we went to Seymour to see Paw & Maw. Fair warm day.

Mar 12     Today I am working with the pig houses and sows. Two sows had 5 pigs last night. Beautiful day.

Mar 13     Nothing but chores done today. Cloudy warm with rain tonight.

Mar 14     I am attending a Farmer's Warehouse Meeting today. Cloudy cold day.

Mar 15     Nothing done today. We went to town this evening. Cloudy colder.

Mar 16     Nothing done today. Bad snowy day.

Mar 17     Cold blustery day. We went to town this evening.

Mar 18     The boys and I went to confession and communion this morning. All home this evening. Cloudy and cold day.

Mar 19     Nothing but chores done today. The assessor was here and assessed me today. Cloudy cool day.

Mar 20     I am doing some work with brood sows this morning. This evening I had a truck and hauled out some feed, coal and lumber. Cloudy cool day.

Mar 21     Today Bess and I drove to Indianapolis. Took Alice & Grace Marsh along. We went to see Emmie D. Kesner. She is in Methodist Hospital, was operated on for bladder trouble. Fair cool day.

Mar 22     This morning I filed the big saw and after dinner sawed wood for Ralph Hess. Fair cool day.

Mar 23     Today Stewart stayed home from school to disk for oats. I delivered a young bull to Everet Hall of Dupont Route 1. This evening Bess and I went to town with cream. Fair warmer day.

Mar 24     Today the boys and I are disking and harrowing and sowed 4 acres of oats and alfalfa. Also plowed garden this evening. Fair cool day.

Mar 25     Alice's 20th birthday. She and Hershel are here today. We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair warm day.

Mar 26     This morning I went to town after more alfalfa seed and seed oats. I want to sow about 2 more acres. Had a hard rain at noon. Colder tonight.

Mar 27     Cloudy and cold day. Pretty hard freeze this morning. Today I dug a pit to put in an oil tank tomorrow. Bess and I took can of cream to town late this evening.

Mar 28     Nothing but chores done today. Cloudy cold day.

Mar 29     Today the St. Clair Oil Co. sent 2 men from Seymour to put in a filling tank and pump. Cloudy cool day.

Mar 30     Nothing done today. Cold blustery day with some snow.

Mar 31     Last night I stepped into a nail and not able to walk today. I went to Dr. Stem tonight. The boys are hauling manure on potato patch today. Fair cool day.

Apr 1     The boys went to church this morning. All home this afternoon. Very pleasant Palm Sunday.

Apr 2     Today I disked and sowed about 2 acres to oats and alfalfa in Long Bottoms. Fair cool day.

Apr 3     Today we planted some potatoes in the garden and made the garden. Set one row cabbage across the garden. Bess and I went to town late this evening. Warm partly cloudy.

Apr 4     This morning I plowed the potato patch. This evening Bess and I went to town and done some work at Alice's and also for Mrs. Denton. Cool partly cloudy.

Apr 5     Today I planted the potatoes. Cloudy threatening some rain.

Apr 6     This morning I am burning some drift off the corn ground. Had an awful high wind all day. It almost unroofed the west side of the barn. I tied the metal sheets with wire to the rafters and sheeting. Had a good rain at dark.

Apr 7     Blustery cold day. Nothing done but chores. Bess and I went to town this evening.

Apr 8     Easter Sunday. We all went to church this morning. All home this evening. Herschel & Alice were here for dinner. Fair cold day.

Apr 9     Stewart and Harold have no school today so we are cutting poles for wood. Also dressed a small hog for meat. Fair cool day.

Apr 10     This morning Bess and I went to Grant Wilkerson's funeral at Mount Zion. This evening I filed the big saw. Fair cool day.

Apr 11     Today I sawed wood for Stewart Euler and Will Fisher. Fair cool day.

Apr 12     This morning I am repairing the manure spreader. This evening Bess and I went to town. Fair cool day.

Apr 13     Today Joe Stewart is helping me haul out manure. Cloudy cold day with rain tonight.

Apr 14     Nothing done today. Cold blustery day. Bess and I went to town this evening.

Apr 15     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cold day. The ground was frozen this morning.

Apr 16     Today I sawed wood for Ed and Ernest Stewart. Fair cool day.

Apr 17     Today I am testing some seed corn. Cold cloudy day.

Apr 18     This morning I am testing corn. This evening Jim Hawk and I went to Edenburg after some eggs for hatching. Fair warmer day.

Apr 19     Today I am hauling out manure. Fair warmer day.

Apr 20     Same as yesterday. Cloudy warm.

Apr 21     Rain last night and today brings the creek out all over the bottoms tonight.

Apr 22     Charles is sick this morning taking the mumps(?). Harold, Stewart and I went to church this morning. Cloudy.

Apr 23     This morning I sent 15 hogs and 1 cow to town to be shipped. I repaired some fence. This evening Bess & I went to town. Partly cloudy and warm.

Apr 24     Today I went with C. H. Webster to Indianapolis on business. Cold cloudy with some rain.

Apr 25     Today Stewart and I hauled in poles for wood. Fair cool day.

Apr 26     Today I sawed the wood we hauled home yesterday. Fair cool day.

Apr 27     This morning a young man tramp came along and wanted work so we are splitting wood. He seems to be willing to work. Still cold with little spurts of rain.

Apr 28     This morning we are repairing fence. This evening Bess and I went to town. I attended Cooperative Merger Meeting. Stewart and William cleaned the stables. Fair cool.

Apr 29     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cool day.

Apr 30     Today Kenneth and I took off stocks. Fair cool day.

May 1     This morning Kenneth and I put seed corn in test. This evening we took off stocks. Fair cool day.

May 2     Today we finished taking off stocks. Bess and I went to town this evening. Pleasant day.

May 3     Kenneth is disking down corn ridges today. I went to Seymour to attend a District Farm Bureau Meeting. Pleasant day.

May 4     Today we began to plow for corn in Betsy Bottoms. Fair warm day.

May 5     We finished plowing in Betsy Bottoms today. Little rain last night. Partly cloudy cooler today.

May 6     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cool.

May 7     Today Kenneth is disking and harrowing. This morning I hauled out manure. This evening I began to plant corn. At noon today I turned the cattle on pasture. Pasture is rather poor but the feed is all gone so let them out. Fair very cool day.

May 8     This morning I finished planting the Betsy Bottoms. This evening Bess and I went to Primary at Hayden. Fair cool day.

May 9     Today we are plowing and planting in Sullivan Bottoms. Fair cool day.

May 10     Same as yesterday. Fair cool day.

May 11     I am sick with the mumps. Not able to work. Kenneth is plowing and harrowing. Cloudy cool with little rain.

May 12     Charles and Kenneth are plowing and planting today. I am about the same with mumps. Pleasant day.

May 13     The boys went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair cooler day.

May 14     Kenneth is plowing today. Fair cool day.

May 15     Kenneth and I are plowing and planting today. Fair warmer day.

May 16     Kenneth and I finished planting the Sullivan Bottoms today. Fair warmer day.

May 18     Nothing much done today. Cloudy with some rain this morning. I got 3 bu of seed corn off Woodward.

May 19     Charles and Kenneth cleaned the stables today. Between showers I attended the Feed Store Directors Meeting today.

May 20     We went to early mass this morning. Alice was home all day. Web Spencer and Sade Stewart were here for dinner. Fair cool day.

May 21     Today Charles and Kenneth are plowing and harrowing in Long Bottoms. I am hoeing the garden today. Pleasant day.

May 22     The boys are plowing and harrowing today. I am planting this afternoon. Pleasant day.

May 23     Today I finished planting corn but may have to plant some over. Fair cool day.

May 24     Today we planted over the Betsy Bottoms. Cloudy little sprinkles.

May 25     This morning I took Kenneth to town, he is going to work there now. Charles is hauling out manure. Cloudy cool day.

May 26     The boys are hauling out manure this morning. This evening we went to town. Cloudy cool day.

May 27     We all went to communion at early mass this morning. Then we went to Joe Stewart's for dinner sat Seymour. Fair cool day.

May 28     We are hauling out manure today. Fair cool day.

May 29     This morning Charles and I went to Will Glixner after load of hay-$14 per. This evening we are plowing for soybeans on Ed Stewart. Cool partly cloudy.

May 30     The boys are plowing for beans this morning. I sowed 3 acres of alfalfa. Nothing done this evening. Uncle George Baker, Aunt Lil(?) and Maw took dinner with us today. Cloudy with little rain.

May 31     Today we are plowing, preparing and sowing soybeans. Cloudy cool day.

Jun 1     Today we finished sowing soybeans on Ed Stewart. Cloudy cool with little sprinkle.

Jun 2     This morning the boys are rolling down the soybean ground so as to pack it more. I put up a new gate in front of Burgmeyer's at the pasture. This evening we went to town. Fair warm day.

Jun 3     We went to church this morning. Home this evening. Alice and Herschel are here. Cloudy cool with little rain this evening.

Jun 4     Rainy day. Nothing done.

Jun 5     Same as yesterday. I helped Bess wash today. Bess and I went to town late this evening.

Jun 6     Nothing but chores done today. Still little rain.

Jun 7     The boys hauled in some wood this morning. Bess and I went to Seymour this evening. Fair cool day.

Jun 9     This morning I set out sweet potato plants. Charles cleaned the stable and hauled it out. Little rain this morning. Cloudy cool this evening.

Jun 10     We went to church this morning. Home this evening. Pleasant day.

Jun 11     This morning I hauled some gravel into the yard. This evening Stewart and I began to plow corn. First plowing. Pleasant day. Charles is working on Fisher's road.

Jun 12     Charles and I are plowing corn in Sullivan Bottoms. Warmer and partly cloudy.

Jun 13     Nothing but chores done today. Some rain. Tonight we went to St. Mary's Commencement. Stewart graduated tonight.

Jun 14     We are plowing corn today. Fair cool day.

Jun 16     The boys are plowing corn today. I drove to New Albany, In today to a fertilizer meeting. Fair warmer.

Jun 17     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Some rain today.

Jun 18     Today we are putting concrete wall under the northwest side of barn. Cloudy warm.

Jun 19     The boys are hauling in some gravel. Today Bess and I went to town this evening. Warm cloudy with a hard rain tonight.

Jun 20     Today I am repairing the manure spreader. Putting in some new parts. Warm and partly cloudy. This morning Stewart went to Cannon's after 200 strawberry plants and set out same.

Jun 21     This morning Bess and I took coop of young chicks to town. 28 cents per lb. Nothing else done today. Still some rain today.

Jun 22     This morning we hoed weeds out of corn. This evening we hauled load of alfalfa from Will Stewart. $7 per ton out of field. Then plowed corn balance of evening. Pleasant day.

Jun 23     Raining again this morning. Nothing but chores done. We went to town this evening. Cloudy cooler this evening.

Jun 24     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Herschel and Alice were here all day. After dinner John Butler & family, Paw & Maw drove in from Seymour. They stayed a few hours. Two of the girls staying a few days. Some rain today and still raining tonight.

Jun 25     This morning I went to town. This evening we are hoeing weeds. Cloudy cool.

Jun 26     Today we hoed weeds except in the evening. Bess and I went to town. Cloudy some rain.

Jun 27     This morning we hoed weeds. This evening Charles began to plow corn for second time. Fair warm day.

Jun 28     Charles is plowing corn this morning. The boys and I are hoeing weeds. Had a hard rain at noon. Bess and I went to town this evening.

Jun 29     Nothing done today. The heavy rain alt night put the creek out over the Bottoms this evening. Also last night at midnight Governor Al Smith of New York was nominated for President at the Houston "Convention. Joe Robinson of Arkansas for Vice President.

Jun 30     Nothing done today. Bess and I went to town this evening. Fair warm day.

Jul 1     We went to church this morning. This afternoon we went to Stan's to chicken supper. Fair warm day.

Jul 2     Today we began to cut wheat on Woodward. Fair hot day.

Jul 3     We finished cutting wheat on Woodward today. Very hot sultry day.

Jul 4     Nothing done today. Alice & Herschel spent the day here. Cloudy hot day.

Jul 5     Last night we had a very hard rain and storm and by noon today the creek is all over the Bottoms. The boys are boat riding all over the Bottoms. Hot sultry day.

Jul 6     Nothing done this morning. This evening we cut the wheat in the orchard. Hot sultry day.

Jul 7     Nothing done. Bess and I went to town this evening. Hot sultry day.

Jul 8     The boys went to church this morning. I went to Seymour after Marcene Butler's clothes. She has been here for 2 weeks and is going to Indianapolis this evening. Had another hard rain at noon today.

Jul 9     Nothing but chores done today. Some rain this morning.

Jul 10     Today we are hoeing weeds out of corn. Hot sultry day.

Jul 11     This morning we hoed weeds. This evening we cut wheat in 15 Acre field. The ground is very soft. Roy Nevet & Louise and children were here for dinner. Hot sultry day.

Jul 12     Today we are hoeing weeds. Hot sultry day.

Jul 13     This morning the boys began to lay by corn. Had a shower of rain before noon and stopped them this evening. Charles is plowing in Betsy Bottoms. Stewart and I hoed weeds in same. Fair cool evening.

Jul 14     Today we are all hoeing weeds. Jacob Burgmeyer and boys are helping. Hot sultry day.

Jul 15     We went to early mass this morning. After dinner we went to the Chautauqua at town. Also went tonight. Fair hot day.

Jul 16     This morning Charles and Stewart are laying by corn. This afternoon we are cutting wheat. Hot sultry day.

Jul 17     This morning the boys are laying by corn. This evening we are cutting wheat. Hot sultry day.

Jul 18     This morning we finished cutting wheat and a patch of oats. Laying corn this evening. Charles and his mother went to Chautauqua this afternoon. Hot sultry.

Jul 19     This morning Charles began to mow down hay. Stewart and I hoed weeds. This evening we took up three loads of hay. Hot sultry day.

Jul 20     This morning we are cutting oats. Stewart is cutting hay. This evening we took up 1 load of hay and then had a good rain. Hot sultry day.

Jul 21     This morning Charles and I had a racket and he left home. I mowed weeds off the alfalfa. This afternoon I attended a Farm Bureau Meeting. Hot sultry day.

Jul 22     We went to early mass this morning. All home this evening. Hot sultry day with a shower of rain at noon.

Jul 23     It is reported that Charles left with Theodore Boner for Illinois early this morning. I cut hay this morning. George Carson helped put up 3 loads hay this evening. Fair cooler day.

Jul 24     This morning I went over to Will Fisher after a load of corn, while Carson mowed hay. After dinner we put up 3 loads of hay. Hot sultry day.

Jul 25     This morning I finished cutting hay. This evening Harold put up 2 loads hay. Fair hot day.

Jul 26     Today I am cutting wheat and timothy for to thrash. Hot sultry day.

Jul 27     This morning I went to town after feed for cows and hogs. This evening Bess & I went to Seymour to order repairs for thrasher. Fair warm day.

Jul 28     Today Stewart and I are hauling out manure. Bess and I went to town later this evening. Fair cool day.

Jul 29     We went to church this morning. This afternoon Bess and I took a drive over the country and stopped at Mrs. Denton's at town. Fair cool day.

Jul 30     Today we are hauling out manure. Hot sultry day.

Jul 31     This morning we are hauling out manure. This evening I went to Seymour after thrasher repairs. Fair hot day.

Aug 1     Today I am repairing the thrasher. Getting ready to thrash tomorrow. Fair hot day.

Aug 2     We are thrashing today. Fair hot day.

Aug 3     We finished thrashing by noon today. 222 bu wheat, 132 oats. This afternoon we are thrashing at Ivan Marsh's. I am sick and not able to work today. Got too hot yesterday. Hot sultry day.

Aug 4     This morning Stewart helped thrash Ivan Marsh. This evening thrashed for Alvin. Hot sultry day.

Aug 5     This morning we went to church. All home this evening. Hot sultry. We had a good rain this evening.

Aug 6     The boys and I are repairing fence this morning. This evening Bess and I went to Columbus, Ind. She bought her a new dress. Another good rain at noon today.

Aug 7     This morning I took our icebox to town and traded towards a new one and will pay the difference. This evening I am working on the tractor. Another good rain at noon today.

Aug 8     Nothing but chores done today. Fair warm day.

Aug 9     This morning I am trying to put a better top on the straw stack. This afternoon I wnt to Alvin Marsh's to help thrash. Fair hot day.

Aug 10     This morning we finished thrashing for Alvin Marsh and this evening thrashed for Will Fisher. Hot sultry rain tonight.

Aug 11     Too wet to thrash for Stewart Euler so they pulled to Frank Fisher's and thrashed his and some for Ed Stewart this evening. This evening Alice drove a new model 1 Ford Sedan out for us. Fair hot day.

Aug 12     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Fair warm day.

Aug 13     This morning we finished thrashing Ed Stewart and thrashed Patton this evening. Fair hot day.

Aug 14     This morning we thrashed Tom Rose and thrashed at Stewart Euler's this evening. Fair warm day.

Aug 15     This morning finished thrashing Euler and this evening ours on Woodward. 262 bu. Fair day.

Aug 16     This morning finished our thrashing on Woodward and moved to H. Childs' and thrashed him this afternoon. Ernest Stewart helped in my place. Bess and I went to Columbus Fair. Warm threatening day.

Aug 17     I am mowing weeds off potato patch and hauled in load of straw this evening. Bess and I went to Seymour. Cloudy warm with rain.

Aug 18     This morning I went to town after feed. This evening Bess and I went to town, also tonight. Cloudy threatening.

Aug 19     We went to church this morning, then went to Spencer Reunion at Teacreek. Fair warm day.

Dec 5     This morning I am getting the shredder in order for work tomorrow. After dinner I went to Nebraska after a dump truck that we had here all fall. Fair moderate weather.

Dec 6     Today I am shredding corn for Patten. Fair warm day.

Dec 7     We are shredding corn here. The rain at noon stopped the work. Rain all afternoon.

Dec 8     We went to church this morning. All home this evening. Cloudy damp day.

Dec 9     This morning I took Henry Funkie a fat hog. This evening I finished husking stock corn. I had a few short rows along the creek. Cloudy day.

Dec 10     Today I cleaned the stables and hauled same out. Cloudy cool.

Dec 11     This morning I am working on the shredder and this evening Bess and I went to town. Cold cloudy misty day.

Dec 12     Nothing but chores done today. Some rain today.

Dec 13     Same as yesterday. Cloudy cool day. Tonight Bess and I went to Osgood to a basketball game.

Dec 14     This morning we shredded 2 loads of corn of which has been on wagons since last Saturday. Charles and his mother went to town this afternoon. Cloudy cool day.

Dec 15     We went to church this morning. Home this evening. Herschel and Alice were here for dinner. Cloudy some rain.

Dec 16     Rain all day. Today nothing done.

Dec 17     Still raining today.

Dec 18     Rain and sleet today. The creek is out this evening.

Dec 19     Snowy blustery day. I went to town this evening.

Dec 20     Today Newminster trucked 22 hogs, 2 calves and 1 cow to Indianapolis. Cold snowy blustery day. Tonight Bess and I went to Seymour basketball with the boys.

Dec 21     This morning I took some corn to town had ground for feed. This evening I took 15 bu corn to Harmon at town. 80.4 per. Cloudy cold day.

Dec 22     We went to church this morning. Herschel & Alice were here for dinner. All home this evening. Snowing all day.

Dec 23     Nothing but chores done today. Still more snow today.

Dec 24     Bess and I went to town this afternoon. Cloudy cold day.

Dec 25     Christmas Day. We went to midnight mass. We all went to Herschel's for turkey dinner. Cloudy cold with plenty of snow.

Dec 26     Today I trucked John Jones load of 40 bu corn above Vernon. Cloudy warmer. Snow is melting fast.

Dec 27     We are hauling out manure today. Bess and I went to town late this evening. Warm and partly cloudy.

Dec 28     I hauled out manure all day. Bess and the boys went to town this evening. Warm partly cloudy.

Dec 29     We went to church this morning. Herschel & Alice are here for dinner. Cloudy some snowfall today.

Dec 30     Nothing done today. Cloudy warm day.

Dec 31     This morning I sold load of 38 bu corn to H. Ringer. 80 30.40. After dinner I sold another load to Tipp Machino. 34,80,27.20. then Bess and I took can of cream to town. Fair cool day.
